Integrating Technology In Youth Work (ITIYW)

Capacity Building in the field of Youth

The EU declared the Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027) is a renewed European Union (EU) policy initiative to support the sustainable and effective adaptation of the education and training systems of EU Member States to the digital age. Plan is to remove existing barriers, improve growth, create new jobs to empower through technology despite the challenges and opportunities of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a consortium we need to engage more NGOs and train more young people to use technology for social business. As we believe tech can solve many social problems from health to integration to employability of young people. This is our common need as a team. Another common need to have is to have a skilled mentor who will guide and support the young people we work with. So at this point the mentoring program and training have a crucial role for us.

Aims: Provide opportunities for young people to receive mentoring with modern tools; Improve the quality of tech teaching in youth work; Increase awareness of technologies that are re-shaping the world; Increase the access to use of technology in the youth sector by teaching how to use technology more efficiently, hence creating new jobs in tech to reduce youth unemployment and have a positive impact on local economic growth.
