Mind The CAP
Mind the Cap - Climate Action Plan

Mind the Cap is a dynamic project funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ program (Capacity Building in the Youth sector). The project is designed to address the pressing challenges of climate change and sustainable development (CC&SD) by equipping young people with the knowledge, skills, and tools to drive meaningful change in their communities.
Through a combination of educational interventions, Living Labs, and youth-led initiatives, Mind the Cap fosters behavioral change and enhances environmental awareness among young Europeans and Mediterranean communities.

Objectives
Develop an interdisciplinary Competence Framework focused on climate change and sustainable development.
Engage young citizens and stakeholders in the co-design of innovative educational programs.
Establish and operate a network of Living Labs for climate education and community-based activism.
Create and deliver educational programs and training materials to improve climate literacy and foster sustainable behaviors.
Encourage long-term behavioral change through youth-led initiatives and peer-to-peer learning.
Develop a digital platform to share best practices, learning resources, and success stories.
Kick-off Meeting
The project officially launched with a successful kick-off meeting in Amman, Jordan. Representatives from all partner organizations gathered to outline the project’s framework, discuss strategic goals, and establish clear timelines for implementation. The meeting focused on defining the structure of the Competence Framework, setting up the network of Living Labs, and agreeing on the project’s communication and dissemination strategy. As part of the meeting, the team also conducted a study visit to the University of Jordan, where they engaged with local stakeholders and gained valuable insights into environmental challenges and youth engagement strategies in Jordan.

Training of Trainers (ToT) – Riga, Latvia
The Training of Trainers (ToT) in Riga, Latvia was a pivotal moment in the project, equipping youth workers and educators with the necessary skills and knowledge to implement the Competence Framework effectively. The training covered essential topics such as environmental education, sustainable development practices, and innovative teaching methods. Through interactive workshops and peer-to-peer learning sessions, participants gained practical tools to engage young people and foster climate action at the community level.

Mid-Term Evaluation – Vienna, Austria
The mid-term evaluation meeting in Vienna, Austria, provided a valuable opportunity to assess the project’s progress and refine the strategy moving forward. Partners discussed the outcomes of the initial educational interventions, evaluated the effectiveness of the Living Labs, and gathered feedback from young participants. The evaluation focused on measuring the impact of the training programs and improving the Competence Framework to better meet the needs of youth and stakeholders.
