A Virtual Youth Academy to Lead the Regenerative change

The objective of the project is to create a Virtual Youth Academy to bring the transformative power of education to its full force and enable youth organizations and young people to become agents of their desired sustainable, resilient, and healthy future. The Virtual Youth Academy will bring young people from the MENA region and Europe together for collaborative, team-based learning that meets their individual needs, unlocks their potential, and provides the tools to lead change.

The educational path for young people in our academy will be divided into three phases: starting with activism, where young people will discover what drives them, followed by tools to put those needs and motivations into practice (entrepreneurship), and ending with a vision of community development, understanding how their needs relate to those of their community and how they can generate positive change in it.

In a nutshell, the project logic starts with the creation of training content and methodology, followed by the training of youth workers. Later on, the Virtual Youth Academy will be launched.

The Virtual Youth Academy will be divided into a first pilot phase of 6 months with the first batch of young people, followed by a two-month analysis, evaluation, and impact phase where the project team and youth participants will evaluate and improve the training, preparing for a second 6-month participant flow.

This means that the training program for the Virtual Youth Academy will last for six months. Upon completion, the impact of the academy and its training will be analyzed, leading to the final phase: final report and academy manual, open-source platform content, and dissemination among other youth organizations.

Finally, the youth organizations will organize multiplier events to showcase the projects developed by young participants. These events may take different forms, such as project fairs, conferences, festivals, and online human libraries.

Objectives

  • Create a Virtual Youth Academy – Establish a digital learning platform to empower young people and youth organisations to become agents of sustainable and resilient futures.

  • Improve Access to Education – Develop a virtual academy that is accessible to young people from remote and disadvantaged areas, removing barriers to education and training.

  • Empower Youth Workers – Train youth workers to effectively engage with and support young people, providing them with effective tools and methodologies.

  • Foster Cross-Cultural Dialogue and Understanding – Bring together young people from the MENA region and Europe to engage in collaborative, team-based learning, promoting intercultural dialogue and understanding.

  • Enhance Entrepreneurial and Leadership Skills – Provide young people with opportunities to develop entrepreneurial and leadership skills through local projects and social business initiatives.

  • Promote Sustainable and Regenerative Practices – Encourage the development of local projects using sustainable and regenerative approaches to create a lasting positive impact.

  • Develop Standardized Evaluation Tools – Create tools to measure the impact of the training program and ensure consistent quality and improvement over time.

  • Promote Citizenship and Common Values – Reinforce EU values such as freedom, tolerance, and non-discrimination through education and intercultural exchange.

  • Strengthen EU-Third Country Relations – Build stronger youth relations between the EU and MENA region by fostering collaboration and mutual understanding​
